  • Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) 2009
    The MUTCD is the "national standard for all traffic control devices installed on any street, highway, bikeway, or private road open to public travel...in accordance with 23 U.S.C. 109(d) and 402(a)."
  • Georgia GIS Clearinghouse
    GDOT County maps and other info are now available through this site. The purpose of the Clearinghouse is to collect, document, format, and publish GIS information collected by multiple agencies of Georgia state government.  It is currently without State funding, but is operating via the clearinghouse nodes at Georgia Tech and UGA/ITOS.
  • Georgia Utilities Protection Center (UPC)
    Georgia811: "Know What's Below.  Call Before You Dig."  "Georgia 811 is a nonprofit corporation dedicated to preventing damage to Georgia's underground utilities and promoting public safety."  With the exception of small, non-mechanized digging projects, "Georgia law mandates that, before beginning any mechanized digging or excavation work, you must contact Georgia 811 by calling 811 or 1-800-282-7411 at least 48 hours but no more than 10 working days in advance to have utility lines marked."
  • Georgia Utilities Coordinating Council (GUCC)
    The GUCC is an extension of the Utility Location and Coordination Council of the American Public Works Association.  It is a statewide committee that includes employees from a variety of utility companies, government agencies, water authorities, contracting companies, locate technicians and the UPC.  Its purpose is to promote and encourage the establishment of utility location and coordination commitees on a local level, as well as address areas and topics of concern for all stakeholders.*
