Field Data Collection System (FDCS) Software

Overview

The GDOT Field Data Collection system is a program that assists GDOT testing technicians and certified contractor technicians in entering and sending field test data to GDOT.
Data is sent to the GDOT using the Web Upload feature.

Installation and Updates for FDCS

Field Data Collection System Client must be kept up to date. GDOT does not support older versions of this software. Attempting to Upload with an unsupported version will result in an error message directing the user to the Update webpage.

Windows 7 installs of FDCS v4.3 are not certified or supported by the Georgia Department of Transportation’s Information Technology Division.Furthermore, we do not currently provide technical support for installs of FDCS installed on Windows 7 computers. Preliminary testing of installs of FDCS v4.3 on computers running the Windows 7 operating system appears to be successful. If you choose to proceed with installing FDCS v4.3 on a Windows 7 computer, please note that you will receive error messages. During post install preliminary testing, all results indicate that FDCS v4.3 functions as designed. However, further testing must occur.

Note: The new FDCS v4.3 is now available. Uploads via previous versions can no longer be accepted. Existing tests completed, but not uploaded, via FDCS v4.2 will need to be re-entered and uploaded via FDCS v4.3.

NOTE: Users that experience an "Out of Memory" error when installing FDCS 4.3 need to download and install the Microsoft Jet 3.51 update.
