GPTQ /GAPA Asphalt Committee

The GPTQ GHCA/GDOT Hot Mix Asphalt Technical Committee is a technical group under the Contractor Relations subcommittee of the GPTQ. The HMA Committee is composed of DOT personnel, contractors, consultants, materials suppliers and association representatives involved in the hot mix asphalt industry. The mission is to produce the highest quality asphalt roads in Georgia through cooperation and collaboration.

• Is a compilation of comments and decisions made in conjunction with the GQI GDOT/GHCA Asphalt Technical Committee.
• Serves as the written policy for administration of the GDOT Hot Mix Asphalt Technician Qualification Program (HMA TQP). The use of this standard format will provide a basis for the future development of this program.
• Provides an outline of the framework that the HMA TQP program is built on including training, examinations, qualifications and conflict resolution.
